Did you mean toughest north of Knoxville?

1. Oak Ridge will be the top team for obvious reasons.

2-5. Powell, AC, Clinton, and Karns will fall anywhere in the top 5 besides 1.

6.Campbell Co could rise if the coach actually coaches the young talent up for once.

Halls, Gibbs, and Central will battle out the bottom.

Agree with OR as #1. Also 2-5 could be any of the teams you mentioned. I would add Halls to that list. Moore always gets more than expected out of talent. Gibbs will be better than expected. I can't figure Campbell Co out. One night they look great next not so good. Central has little talent and I have heard their best player will be out for an extended period of time.

I didn't put Halls in the mix strictly because I didn't know how the team would be affected by the legal issues some of the young men went through recently.  Randy will get the most out of his players, just not sure there is enough there to get.

Who's out for Central?  They have a freshman big man that will be exciting down the road.  Hes not pretty on the offensive end yet, but he will get every rebound and loose ball that comes his way.

I'll list what I know and take a shot.

1- OAK RIDGE. most talent in area along with good coach.

2- POWELL. Besides OR the best inside talent in the district and that's where games are won.

3- KARNS. Good coaching and Jv was decent. Couple tall inside.

4- CC. Toress and Gillenwater are two pretty good guards. Good coaching. Good young talent

5- AC. Just going off what u guys saying. Might have picked them higher but heard the Hayes kid broke his wrist the other day. Senior heavy team.

6- GIBBS. Young last year and really shoot it well.

7- HALLS- I agree randy finds ways to win. Could move up on this list easy.

8- CLINTON- another coach that gets a lot out of nothing. Lost some good players. Heard QB may not play.

9- CENTRAL- have some talent but coaching just not that good.

With this said, I think if a team gets hot, wins 3-4 games in a row can move way up. I think 3-8 could all interchange.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
