Hmm not sure then. Sounds like AC is very inconsistent if that's the case. Hard to believe with that that they only scored in the 30's tonight.

yea one of their bigs hit a 3 with seconds left or they'd have had only 29!!! When Gillenwater left the game he had more points than AC whole team. The maryville game was a scrimmage and u know how scrimmages are. Lol.

Fist Fight. I love a good physical game. But wanting to push and shove because someone is just as physical. Really takes away the enjoyment.

Gotcha. Yea hate that kind of play as well. That surprises me that Randy would allow that sort of stuff. But, I did hear this is his last year coaching, so maybe his heart isn't in it.

Gotta give it to cc. They played as a team and looked good. Until ac learns to play team ball they ain't gonna win to many. To many times I saw us go down the floor and try to play 1 on 5 and turn it over. I would say ac had 25+ turnovers. If they can learn to share the load they could be competitive. Shoulda been a good game last nite. I don't think from what I saw if ac has that many turnovrturnovers that cc beats em.

They had turnovers for a reason. It's called pressure defense. To say that if AC hadn't had all those turnovers they wouldn't have lost is crazy. It be like saying if CC had shot so well they wouldn't have won. There was a reason for those turnovers, it's called defense.

True. Teams don't just hand you the ball. Unforced turnovers maybe so, but most to's in basketball are induced by the opposition.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
