Grider, the architect of so many dominating and state finalist teams, is back in the saddle after a couple of seasons away from the program. Too, Grider is coming off open-heart surgery and has been back at school only a couple of weeks.

 

The Pirates will start Thursday and the major concern is the youthfulness. They'll have just four seniors. Grider did say overall team speed could be a strength along with experience in the offensive line. Younger players who could step into starting roles are juniors Joseph Lilly and Kyree Prior and sophomores Sawyer Kelley and Mason Fuqa.

 

South Pittsburg has added Shawn Peek as its defensive coordinator.

I garuntee you I looked in my Murphy Fair book and that Frame boy did not play last year. I garuntee you his leg has got weak. Grider needs to make him hop around on one leg and chase a chicken to get his kicking leg real strong. If he wants to kick in the SEC he better be able to kick a 50 yard field goal.
