Governm
I thought there was 4 schools in that county. Maryville, Alcoa, William Blount and Heritage right? and three of those are 6A schools too right? or is Maryville the only 6A In the classifications WB and Maryville are 6A , Heritage is 5A, and Alcoa is 3A. But heritage was also 6A.
BigPoppaPump
Great coaching, great feeder, really good players, great community to live in, city school, tradition: Now it's just a perfect storm. Kids from all around want to be in the program now. Winning recruits itself. I'll throw one more thing in there too, along with the good coaching, the coaches are genuinely really good guys as well. I've been around many coaches; some really good guys who can't coach worth a dang, and some really good coaches who nobody wants to play for, but one bonus to the Maryville staff is I can't see how kids don't want to sell out for them. That's also just an added bonus to an already perfect storm though. I'll agree with Passive sort of on one thing though. I would like to see Maryville roll with an out of state program that's the real deal. And I'm not talking Bell County Kentucky.

WaCoJaCo
This will probably never end. When Maryville was in 4A and beating the crap out of everybody people kept saying they couldn't compete with the "BIG BOYS" in 5A. Now that 6A has formed and Maryville is playing up, they are beating the "BIG BOYS" even worse. It wouldn't be any different if Maryville played out of state teams. There's no question in my mind that Maryville would beat those teams then we would have people saying they'd like to see Maryville play Carson Newman or Middle Tn. State. tennesseestud2013
#SMH... THEY PLAY THE SAME CUPCAKES YEAR AFTER YEAR AND STAY IN THEIR LANE...6A IS NO DIFFERENT FROM 5A.....THEY DON'T GO TO GA OR S. CAROLINA OR EVEN KENTUCKY TO CHALLENGE THEMSELVES TO SEE IF THEY ARE REALLY A POWERHOUSE TEAM... THEY TRIED ENSWORTH FOR A QUARTER AND GOT EXPOSED......I WON'T BE IMPRESSED UNTIL THEY GO OUTSIDE OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE AND PLAY SOME REAL POWERHOUSES....WILLIAM BLOUNT, WEST, HERITAGE, HARDIN, LENIOR, WEB, ALCOA, SEVIER, BEARDEN. AND FARRAGUT ARE THE TEAMS THEY PLAY YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR....SAME RESULTS...NO CHALLENGE...REALLY???? THEY HAD A CHANCE TO PLAY 5A BALL...BUT THEY WENT RIGHT BACK TO THE SAME OLE CUPCAKES......THEY ARE THE BIG FISH IN THE POND FEASTING ON GUPPIES.....REWARD....GOLD BALL.... You ever watched teams like Oscar Smith from the Tidewater Area of VA, or Byrnes, SC, or Booker T from Miami, or Don Bosco from New Jersey, or Allen, TX, or Desoto, TX, or Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, or De La Salle, or Mater Dei? Look some of those teams up. Tennessee high school football isn't the best. Again, not a slap at Maryville, but c'mon man.

You watch alot of those teams and they are extremely talented but they will make mistakes and play sloppy. I've yet to see a team that plays as efficiently and is as disciplined as maryville.
