Purple & Gold Standard
@ bullshark...As expected...The girls did rebound and defeat Bradford last night 51-48...9-1 in D14A...
westtnsportsfan
Gc improves to 11-0 in district and 21-2 overall I believe. Smithson and Lannom led the way to a 25-6 lead after one quarter at lake co last night and freshman played a lot after that. White and fields both added a good game as well. Looked much better than just dragging through the two games last week.
BABABA
Top 4 teams in district win last night. Gc, uc, greenfield and Peabody. Top 4 spots still wide open as only 3 games desperate 1-4. I'm not counting out Bradford yet either and sf seems to be playing very well also by the look of scores. Gonna be an exciting last few weeks before tournaments start in Feb. GCPioneer
Gibson only beat Bradford by 2 last night. If Gibson Co. is the team everyone thinks they are, they need to pick it up A LOT! Bradford is a team that Gibson should be beating by 15-20 points. They've got to pick it up or they will get upset once again in the tournaments. The talent is there, I'm just not sure if the motivation is.

Shouldn't be any problem for uc. Peabody is now 12-8 on the year and 5-3 in district sitting in a top 4 spot I believe. Hope they keep it going, more improvement again this year! BullShark
Gibson County is probably a little tired! They have put a lot of minutes on those players. I think they will recover and be fine.

BullShark
UC may be the one team to be able to hand GC a district loss especially with the game being at home. Will be a good one for sure.

They need everyone to give 100% every night and that doesn't seem to be the case right now. But @ Bradford was sort of the perfect storm for Bradford and GC still found a way to win. Lannom couldn't hit ANYTHIVG and gc was up by 6-8 when Smithson picked up her 4th foul and Bradford shot lights out from 3 all night and came back and took a 6 pt lead late. Smithson came back in and scored about 6straight to tie the game back up. And Lannom then won the game late. I wouldnt look to much into this one. Credit to Bradford but I don't see them shooting that well and Lannom missing that many wide open shots again. We will see coming with some big games with Greenfield, UC, Westview and Peabody remaining.
