Top 4 teams in district win last night. Gc, uc, greenfield and Peabody. Top 4 spots still wide open as only 3 games desperate 1-4. I'm not counting out Bradford yet either and sf seems to be playing very well also by the look of scores. Gonna be an exciting last few weeks before tournaments start in Feb.

Union City wins tonight at Halls 63-30...Raven Fair led the Tornadoes with 20 points followed by Bishop and Vaughn who put in 10 apiece and Davis who added 9 points...

UC improves to 15-9 overall and 10-1 in D14A...

The Tornadoes hit the road again tomorrow night with a visit to Tiptonville to face the Lake County Falcons...

Gibson only beat Bradford by 2 last night. If Gibson Co. is the team everyone thinks they are, they need to pick it up A LOT! Bradford is a team that Gibson should be beating by 15-20 points. They've got to pick it up or they will get upset once again in the tournaments. The talent is there, I'm just not sure if the motivation is.

Peabody beat lake co last night by 30. Shouldn't be any problem for uc. Peabody is now 12-8 on the year and 5-3 in district sitting in a top 4 spot I believe. Hope they keep it going, more improvement again this year!

I don't completely disagree. They need everyone to give 100% every night and that doesn't seem to be the case right now. But @ Bradford was sort of the perfect storm for Bradford and GC still found a way to win. Lannom couldn't hit ANYTHIVG and gc was up by 6-8 when Smithson picked up her 4th foul and Bradford shot lights out from 3 all night and came back and took a 6 pt lead late. Smithson came back in and scored about 6straight to tie the game back up. And Lannom then won the game late. I wouldnt look to much into this one. Credit to Bradford but I don't see them shooting that well and Lannom missing that many wide open shots again. We will see coming with some big games with Greenfield, UC, Westview and Peabody remaining.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
