I'm saying he'll be the 2nd best coach walking in the door. Rankin is overrated and Hammontree hasn't done anything out at Heritage.

Shad is what 0-3 or 0-2 against Quarles with teams that had way more talent than WB has or ever will have at Blackman and Smyrna. If he couldn't beat Quarles with those squads then he don't stand a chance with WB.

Well if you're going up against inferior competition week in and week out it's easy to win. The fact is Alcoa rarely runs into a team that can even compete with their athletes but when they do, they lose 9 times out of 10. Just look at the last time they beat maryville....they ran a simple run play on 4th down late in the 4th qtr from the 40 to score and win the game. That is not a smart move in that situation by any stretch of the imagination unless you know your athletes are that much better than the team you're playing.

I was simply talking Gold and Silver Balls here. Not Rankins play calling or scheduling. I'm talking trips to the Show.

I would NEVER consider moving my family if he will leave in 2-3 years. I promise. He is a great coach and he is motivated and excited.

I'm a Maryville supporter but very glad to see William Blount get a great coach and coaches that will come with him. You all will enjoy living here in Blount County and hope you all the best.
