Oooops....two teams from 15a make it. One has already taken down one of your beastly teams from 7a that y'all were screaming would win it all......15a without a doubt

7A has 22 state championships. 15A has quite a few also...very good teams. Summertown has 0. The End

You AA guys better be glad GC spilt into two schools in 2011. GC would have give E ton all they wanted now. Medina wanted their own school district and South Gibson arrived. Heather Butler and Courtney Haynes were from Medina in 2009-2010. But we were loaded with local Medina girls the last five years that would have really excelled at GC. Kristen King is another Bri Fields and will be a Miss Basketball candidate before it is over. She transferred to Milan this year and had to set out. Would give any thing if we had her alone to go with what we got.

This is a post about this year, not career achievements. I know what they have done career wise but I believe 15a is pretty darn tough this year and has already shown 1 of your untouchables the door.

I don't think anyone said they were untouchable.  In my opinion outside of Clarkrange, 7A was the weakest its been in a long time because of the decline in Jackson County.  Pickett Co. is a young and upcoming team and their middle and elementary programs are thriving.  I see them returning to the top of the district in a short amount of time and as long as Jim Brown coaches the Lady Blue Devils they will be a force to be reckoned with when they hit the hard wood at the murphy center.  It took a 65 foot shot from beyond halfcourt to keep them out of the state tournament this year in what most of us to believe is a down year.  :popcorneater:

Pioneer42,

I love you and love your posts but you are crazy as a three dollar bill!!!  Kristen King is a good athlete but wouldn't be and won't be in the top 30 candidates for Miss basketball!  Not next near or the year after.  She could not hold Bri Fields sports bra!  Why she transferred to Milan is beyond me because they aren't remotely as good as SG, nor will they be.  And with her and with no South Gibson, you (GC) would still get beat by 25 by E-Town!  Don't kid yourself!

Umm... Christen King is actually one of the best guards in West TN right now as a sophomore. BullShark, you're way off on her. Christen is a definite mid-major right now and if she develops a jump shot, she's a high mid-major kid. I have no clue if she will ever be a Miss Basketball finalist, but right now, the kid is mid-major player as is.

Disagree!  nothing personal, but disagree.  She hasn't even played a game in 2 years

I saw her in the fall and she played against some of the best players in the southeast. Received 15 letters from various schools from just that one weekend including several SEC schools. They all agree that she needs to develop a perimeter game and she understands that as well. Now, she's not a D1 player????

If by perimeter game you mean improve her ball handling then we agree.  Anyone can get letters,  offers pay for school!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
