Only Chattanooga Central's Purple Pounders gave Oak Ridge a game that season. Central's coach, the legendary Red Etters, would later go on to coach Chattanooga Baylor.

My wife is a Central alum and when we got married we were living in the house Coach Etters lived in during his Baylor days. I would go down in the basement and talk about Oak Ridge football to see if his spirit was in the house. It wasn't.

We sold that house and now live in Hixson. No ghost in this house either LOL.
