Ready for some football, just a couple days to go. Look forward to seeing all the teams.

Heard Marion will be playing lots of young ones during the Sequatchie game due to already scrimmaging them and a 7 on 7. Maybe the starters will play against Whitwell...

Since we are scared of whitwell we may just pull em off the field to save face. We don't want to get embarrassed before hixson comes to town for sure.

You will score 2-3 times vs Whitwell on Friday if your starters play. Coach is doing a great job up there, but injuries are mounting to them. As for Hixson? I still say Marion should win by a couple of TDs.

Everyone thinks Whitwell will win a lot of games. I think they are too young. They will struggle to win 5. South Pitt, Columbia Academy and Sequatchie are three losses. Then they have Bledsoe, Grundy and Copper Basin. LV, Sale Creek, Grace are also on the schedule. 6 wins is the absolute maximum they will be able to accomplish this season and it will take some fortunate bounces to win 6.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
