New 6A Playoff Bracket

Quarles had some interesting comments on the sports animal in Knoxville a day or so ago. Basically he said, if everybody is in the playoff, what does it matter if you play during the year. Everybody gets a chance at the end of the regular season. Meaning, forget the long trips. Just play meaningful games in your area. Let the powers that be seed them however they see fit.

Thats easy and convenient to say when you don't have any real competition in your local area.

Not in year one.  Don't see them finishing in the top 4 with Maryville, DB, SH, and Bradley.  However, they could finish as high as 5th.  Bearden has looked good in the pre-season but WB has always played them tough.  HVA losing their QB and TE for the year already could slide them back in the pack a little bit, but their defense is still tough.

Bradley Central will not finish in the top 4. And Bearden hasn't played any good teams this pre-season. They beat a SD team that lost pretty much everybody from last year's team and lost to a Clinton team that will be mediocre at best. Edited August 11, 2015 by Governors91

 I've got WB as my number 4 in that region based only on the "Shad Factor".....lol

Alot of folks seem to be doubting the Govs this year, even moreso than usual. Which is odd considering that Shadowens is our coach now and he has a track record for turning teams around fast. Another thing to remember is the Govs have been on the bubble for years. We have had so many close games slip away from us and lost some games we flat out shouldn't have lost (case and point: the Bearden game last year). Those days are over now.

Hey, Shad is a good friend of mine and one of the best coaches around, but even he'll tell you can't walk on water....lol.......Don't be "overly" optimistic.  It's gonna take some time.
