Sports fans, some new information has come to light that needs to be considered.  Several days ago the DB upset was predicted (above).   However my own personal little spy in Blount County has revealed that Maryville has changed the game plan.   They are going to lay back and let DB score.

 

Ok, fasten your seat belts and let’s go into a little history before we finish that last thought.   If DB is leading at the half in a big game then we know that the 2^nd half will be spent playing not to lose, as opposed to playing to win.  Yeah, I know, it sounds familiar, we all know the SEC school down the road who routinely does the same thing.   So anyway, our scouting report says that Maryville is totally content to go into the locker room at the half with DB leading, because that guarantees a Maryville “comeback†in the 2^nd half for the win.

 

So here is the dilemma, if the D “misses†an easy tackle on DB’s runner should he go ahead and take the easy score?    Or should he feign tripping and only get 8 yards?    In other words, what if DB turns the tables on Maryville and manages to go into halftime behind instead of ahead…. would that so maim the Rebels’ carefully laid trap that they would become disarrayed in the 2^nd half and actually allow DB to win?

 

And that leads us to a modified prediction.   If DB is leading at the half then Maryville wins by 2 TD’s.
