We definitely saw more trick plays last night than we've seen all season.  That should help us down the line.  Vic's post game speech to the boys last night was a pumper-upper, and he's got a good game plan for Fayetteville.  I sure hope WEPG is on the internet for the game.  I'll be monitoring CoachT from Kansas.  Pegleg is going to fly me out there Thursday, but he'll be back for the game.

D60, you be careful out in Kansas and I hope Dick Cheney ain't in your bird shooting group.

Now what are you doing in the locker room listening to speeches? Also, how do you know Coach Grider has a game plan already for Fayetteville? Fayetteville will be extremely athletic for sure. If we make mistakes on defense they can take it the distance at anytime next week, but the difference will be in the trenches.

He should be in shortly to tell us that Fayetteville will be our biggest challenge this season. News flash.... We have played the 1st and 2nd ranked teams in 2A.

Better watch that prediction. Fayetteville and Columbia Academy are bigger challenges than Marion or Boyd. LMBO

Where oh Where is Varo???

Where is Varo??? Right here boys, I'm easier to find than Waldo and his striped hat.  Bassy, on how many different threads are you going to repeat that we are claiming to be on the same level as Marion or Boyd?  I'm not taking it back, I said we were going to be a challenge and I promise you our team will be.  I can promise you anything you want, I'm not strapping on a helmet and getting on the field.  That is, unless we win, then our team of 22 and the 100 or so fans that make the trip will storm the field and tear down the goalpost, hauling it off to the West for all to see like a war bride.  We have all week to generate some heat on this thread, but I figured it would already be page six or seven with a "hot" sticker on it by now.  Is it the Pirate family is ready to move on?  I'm down with that.  I'm ready to move on, to play Columbia Academy for a second time this season.  It will take every ounce of effort from the boys, but we are capable of doing it.  SP is just another speed bump to go over.  Now can our Tigers put together and execute their game plan to beat you?  I think they can.  And no matter how much smoke is blown about how down your team is this year, it will be a tough challenge.  I think we are up for it, and we welcome it.

Best of luck Varo and to your Tigers. Pirates have speed and don't let no one say otherwise. Prepare for their backfield well, stop them if you can (it's where the speed lies), and force the pass. Your Tigers have a good set of DB's with good hands.... I would study film and prepare well.

mTp couldn't stop their run...

But then again mTp couldn't stop Cornersville's run game neither 😉.

This will be a good one

Cherokee Tom let me ask you a question. I was talking to this man at Ronnies red eye and I think Grider needs to move that Raulston boy to pass catcher instead of a runner. That Raulston boy caught two interceptions last night. If he can do that he can surely catch that Holland boy passes. You think im joking but im not.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
