2008...SP at Trousdale...kickoff was 17 degrees..now that's cold....I remember the players on that team telling me on incomplete passes that the ball would collect ice crystals on it.

We were there. Great game. SP receiver dropped potential game winner. Refs let TC get away with false start(back left early) and the rest is history

03 was when it was spitting snow. It was nice and warm after the first play when Brian Nellitt caused a fumble and rout was on.

 

04 is when we were beating Alcoa until the punt returned for a touchdown changed the momentum.

Seemed like the radio guy said 40. If so it was a frigid 40. I remember the week before being brutally cold, even with all the excitement.

Weather forecast is saying it may be around this same temp on Friday night.

Just heard Swenson on the radio. Praised all his boys and then said NCS was a "Milan type team". Said they would prepare with a similar game plan. Interesting stuff.

I remember it being pretty cold in 2013 when we played up there at NCS. I bought pocket warmers from your concession stand and was glad to have them. The very next week we played in the sleet and freezing rain in Cookeville.

On a side note. ....there will be no purple grass in UC this year. We haven't had a good frost this year and apparently the purple dye must be placed on dormant grass. That's the difference in temperatures in the last couple of years.

Nice to see but this is the playoffs. We will have to play mistake free and almost perfect from here on out. I think we still have a good team but we are young at the skill position. Hope we pull it out though.

Same thing they said about Wayne County to

ya them putters don't take injuries into effect, it just takes whole season which has been impressive before we had to rebuild 66% of the backfield. They looked good vs Trousdale but very small sample.
