Goldsmith was more like "platinum" tonight. We had no answer. We couldn't tackle him. Don't take this wrong intense and tca fans but I have never seen one person carry a high school football team like he did and has apparantly been doing. He is special and credit the coaching staff for figuring out a way to win after starting 0-4. And credit players for unselfishly buying in and blocking for him. Good luck the rest of the way. We were not ready and abandoned the run in the first half...way too early. #23 was a force at nose tackle for tca and blocked well on offense. I can only remember a bad snap and one lost fumble and one turnover on downs as the mistakes for tca. The list for Aville wouldn't fit on here. Disapointing but we were beat fair and square.

Lots of hero's out on the field for TCA tonight.  Grayson Long had 4 important rushes and made several solo tackles on defense.  Tyler Thomas had the huge kickoff return to set up what proved to be the winning score.  Sergio Pagoaga with stellar play on defense and that incredible touchdown reception.  Triston Bonstetter with several huge tackles in clutch situations.  Eli Parker had his usual gutty performance.  Chris Tucker played with anger and passion.  The entire offensive line did WORK tonight against a strong Cardinal defense.  

 

In my years covering TCA, I have had the honor to cover great athletes like Jabriel Washington and Kyle Akin.  Now, Andrew Goldsmith is having a season for the ages.  I am blessed to get to cover the TCA Lions as part of the radio broadcast team.  I have a really cool job.

 

I would also like to publicly thank the radio broadcast team for Adamsville.  The courtesy you extended to me was much appreciated.

 

Tonight's game between TCA and Adamsville is what high school football should always be about.  Two teams stood toe to toe and hit each other with hay makers for 48 minutes.  It was also a very cleanly played game and tons of sportsmanship was on display by both teams.  I do hope the Adamsville player who was injured gets well soon.  He took a wicked blow.

I have to say TCA played a great game tonight and the best team won. We had nothing for Goldsmith. He is one AWSOME individual. I take nothing away from your team. They played Their hearts out tonight. All I can say is go get that gold ball and bring it home to west Tn.To our guys don't hang your heads. Your a great group of guys. It has been my pleasure to be with you boys as you became men along this journey. Last but not least to our coaches I thank you for all you do for these boys. To the underclass men let's start next season in the morning, work hard in the weight room and we go again next year!
