Strange - every guy on our team is 1 year older now too.

Strange how that works, huh? So by your logic since each team is a year older then NCS will win by how much? Just because your a year older. Wow, that makes a ton of sense. So I'm guessing there is just no way possible Wayne County could've improved more or matured more than NCS? Makes sense.

I was pointing out the fault in your logic.  You see it now, but you only see it down a one-way road.

And since you mentioned you are not from WC, what school are you from and why the interest in this game?

A kid that is 6'2 225 pounds that has a year to mature can make a big difference. I don't know how big he was last year but I'm sure he wasn't that big as a sophmore.

I am originally from West TN! Spent my childhood in Georgia though. If I had to pick a school it would be USJ! I went to a private school a couple years down in Georgia. I actually just love watching high school football. I have interest in this game because I have been following Wayne county ever since I watched them play Clarksville Academy earlier in the year. I also follow Union City, Dresden, Milan, Camden, and Henry County.

The three full games I've watched on film of John Wayne County High School this year I've seen a lot of jogging especially on the defensive side of the ball. This simply will not work Friday night. I'm not being a jerk.. Watch your film. Be subjective, it's not hard to spot.I've watched all 3 games at least twice. Rarely is there any weakside pursuit. Hopefully this doesn't make me a bum.

No worries. But don't get your panties tangled up when people from Wayne County actually think they have a chance?? I have seen film on NCS and seen Wayne county play and I have no clue how some of these people are predicting a running clock and a 4-5 score win by NCS. Here's how I see it.

Qb- Adv. Wayne Co.

Skill Position- Even

Offensive line- Adv. NCS

LBS- Adv. NCS

Secondary- Adv. Wayne

D-line- Even

Mark my words, Way e County wins because #5 touches it every time on Offense.

For the Wayne County fans, how many games this year has #5 been consistently pressured throughout? Serious question.

I'll give this one last try then I'm going to have to give up. #5 is not the only kid that looks different and has matured from the 21-0 game last year.

I totally understand what you're saying. What I'm trying to say is a special talent like Wayne county qb can go from being really good to being really special in a sense that he can take over the game completely, in one year. I understand that NCS has gotten bigger and stronger from one year. I'm just saying Wayne county might have grown and matured more that they're giving credit for. Listen I may be totally wrong about it and NCS come out and beat Wayne County. I've road Wayne county all year and am not shying away from it.

No I didn't. But I do know he was a sophomore. And I do know that Wayne county was depleted from injuries. And I do know NCS only won 21-0. And I do know that Wayne county drove into the redzone at will. Will you watch this years game? Good if you are. Enjoy the show because NCS season ends Friday Night.

Here are the WC drives from last game when they "drove into the redzone at will".

Drive 1 -5 yards fumble lost on 3rd and 12

Drive 2 -5 yards fumble lost on 3rd and 10

Drive 3 69 yards Turned over on downs after stopped on 4th and 10 (59 on bust cov play)

Drive 4 7 yards Punt on 4th and 3

Drive 5 25 yards Interception thrown on 3rd and 7

Drive 6 37 yards Interception thrown on 2nd and 14

Drive 7 53 yards Turned over on downs after stopped on 4th and 13 (personal Foul)

Drive 8 3 yards Turned over on downs after stopped on 4th and 7

Drive 9 -8 yards Turned over on downs after stopped on 4th and 18

WC had 4 drives start in NCS territory at the 40-37-26-40. Those drives netted -5, -5, 3, and -8 respectively. These were drives the "at will" must have failed.

Your facts are a bit off. They had 180 yards for the entire game and almost 60 came on one busted coverage play. Somebody get this guy a WC t shirt. Hes been on the bandwagon darn near 3 months now, hes earned it.

I'm all about serious questions. He really hasn't been consistently but there was one game earlier in the year we struggled a bit. See, that didn't hurt asking a serious question and getting a decent answer which is just my opinion. Of course opinions vary.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
