Getting close to game time and in a few hours MC qb steps out of the phonebooth and turns into superman i hope. I've been watching this kid for years and no way he accepts the other qb role. Probably the best all around athlete Ive ever seen. This game will be close but I see number 1 as the difference maker. Big games are when players like him excel. Ive watched the Jones kid and he is exceptional so I mean no dissrespect at all.

No disrespect taken...If it comes down to QB vs QB, it will be a battle of 2 great players...But it's really what's around them that helps make them good Edited by uknoit2

These are two great teams with really good players. I expect a close game to the end and like all good matchups will probably come down to turnovers and s couple of blown assignments. I just love to watch Walters compete and I hope all this talk of the other qb inspires him. Actually I feel confident you will get his brst game. Hes just that competitive kind of individual.

Yea, I noticed all the Hampton QB talk from MC posters...Figured it was to help motivate those Warriors...We should be in for a good game.

Dogs will come with a lot of Kryptonite....trust me they are headed to Cookeville!

I have said this earlier in the week. Hampton does what we dont like and struggle with defensively. Huge uphill battle ahead of us. Hopefully we can slow them a little and get help with special teams and some turnovers. That might be what it takes for us. Boys made it to johnson city safely several hours ago so thats good news.

I font believe Hampton will put up 40 and I dont believe MC will hold them to 12 like season average. This game probably is a 7 point game to me. Should be very exciting for most and nerve racking for real fans. All the post this week have been kind and i expect it to remain the same

      Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!

      In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
