We lost to McKenzie who finished in top 8 of 2A. We lost to USJ who made it to semifinals of DIiA. We lost to Saint George's who is in state championship game of DIIA. We lost to Adamsville who finished 10-2 and was ranked in top 3 all year in 2A. We lost to South Gibson who finished 6-4 in 3A. USJ finished 9-3, Saint George's is 12-1, Adamsville 10-2, McKenzie 8-5, South Gibson 6-4. Pretty stiff competition. We avenged the Adamsville and McKenzie losses by beating them in the playoffs.

I appreciate these #FACTS that you dropped. Thanks, all of that info was Proper...

With that said I'm almost Certain Trezevant would beat St. George's in a real game... The 6-4 S. Gibson team is likely the caliber of team they would put 40 on... But, St. George's would likely lose to Trezevant. On that alone I see a 4 TD spread. Good luck to both teams.

What you don't realize is that Goldsmith was not QB in any of those losses. Also Trez would not beat SGeorges.

From what I know about both programs, take my word, Trevevant would beat a team like St. George's... They beat Ensworth. Memphis East is WAY better than you may realize. Small schools, no matter, public or private, will have heck to pay against the Purple Bears

A take the snap look for a opening and run doesn't qualify as a quaterback, plus jump ball throws against 5 ft 8 corners don't count either. Those cheap imitation read options aren't going to fly this week. It's a one man show and everybody knows it. What happens when he not in the game; comebacks and blow out loses. It's sad when you can call out the play before they run them. It's not the same t high of the last 7, to 8 yrs, but tca comical. According to the wr, moving ya guy to qb isn't what turned the season. It was a speech about moving him to qb. Coaching staff must have been stuck with good Ole boy qb syndrome, this isn't last yrs tca. WHT took so long to move him to qb anyway?

When you learn to speak proper English and get your facts in order I will respond. This Board appreciates reasonable comments and not ignorance.

In order for TCA to win this game, they can't be too predictable on offense and they have to be scrappy on defense. Also, they have to win the turnover battle. Can Parker and Pagoaga both combined over 200 yards receiving? Can Parker get at least 75 yards on the jet sweep? Can 2 TCA defenders other than Goldsmith get 10+ tackles? Can Goldsmith go out on defense and not hurt TCA at all? I've listed 5 things, if TCA completes four of the five, they have a real good shot.

If Goldsmith isn't 100% then this could be a long night for the Lions.

No, st. George's Don't have enough personnel to beat them. Teli should have beat a MS 6A team two years in a row. They gave us the hardest scrimmage outside of MUS that I've seen in the last 5 years. Teli white is 2 legit like Mc hammer

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
