Btw in the 7 on 7 we only lost to expected West team to be in the State game Wayne Co by a 2 pt conversion. We beat Fayetteville pretty badly, then beat Summit (I think is a 5A school?)

What drug have you been on. You lost to Summit in a pretty close game. But never in a million years did you beat Fayetteville "pretty badly"!!!

I could be wrong but my count was each team scored 3 times each and Fayetteville scored a cheap one at the end possibly vs some backups. Only thing I was confused on all day was why South Pitt players wouldn't go across field and shake Fayetteville players hands. Would love to see a playoff rematch this year. Maybe some bad blood brewing!

i thought this was an awesome event to show several competitive teams. I hope this is an annual event. Maybe even add a couple of teams next year. Hopefully the coaches would agree. Fayetteville and South Pitt had an OL challenge but I never got to see how that went. Maybe somebody can fill us in. Not sure why the other two teams weren't involved with that part though.

We have given you two chances in the playoffs. LMBO. We aren't great by any means and have a long ways to go to get back to the way it use to be. You don't want another rematch because it will end in mercy again.

I'm not a Fayetteville fan. I was just reporting facts of watching a good 7 on 7. Not many times a year there is that much talent competing in one place.

You are like the media. Trying your best to stir up bad blood. Anyways, I was only reporting from someone that was there. I wasn't there so if I got wrong news then sorry for the mistake. If we scored 3 times passing the ball then we will destroy them running the ball. Just saying.

I'm with derFuhrer Pirate Mike, FHS did not "get beat badly" going against SP.  I had us losing to 5A Summit, beating SP, and the Wayne Co. game was a toss up, not really sure what the "score" was.  But that was the third match, and WC didn't use #11 QB Rice at all for that one.  WC looked good moving the ball from what I saw.  Good receivers winning balls in the air, getting wide open against all three opponents.  It was kinda hard to follow the action, two games from the 50 to the end zone playing at the same time, but WC moved the ball at will against SP, though SP moved the ball also.

I also didn't get to go over to the OL challenge going on between FHS and SoP.  It did look pretty scrappy from the bleachers though.  Our coaches told me that all the teams were very agreeable to repeating this tourney, and next time with added showcasing of the OL.

As to what was going on b/w So.P and my Tigers, the boys and the coaches said there were a lot words going back and forth b/w the offense/defense as they took turns.  Not chippy, no cheap shots, just lots of sassin' and lots of hand checking on receivers so they made it competitive and not a blow-off passing drill.  I think/hope our Tigers are finally shedding their "wow, we're playing against them?" mentality and getting the confidence to stand toe-to-toe with SP.  It will be interesting when these three teams put their full packages together.

And yes Ambassador, I hope you do get the chance to try to mercy rule us again.  It'll mean that we are getting better each year and giving ourselves the chance to make it to that level.

Old Pirate says 7 on 7 only serves one good purpose and that is QB/receiver timing just like all colleges do during summer coachless workouts. Note: does Not promiss wins.

Old Pirate thought it approviate to let a new player slip in! But break room chatter is the ship's crew will continue to improve! Keep ears close to the ground, feel them ground trimmers? Recon a feller jest might need some injun blood

Nothing like a little injun blood. New boy supposed to be there tomorrow. Long hair and all.

Hey Varo, I hear ya buddy. I was told that by someone at the game standing on the SP sidelines. It could have been a situation where up and down the field we did extremely well, but just didn't put points on the board. I'm just happy we can compete in a 7 on 7 when everyone knows we are 95% run and 5% pass. I hope to make the Cascade scrimmage next Friday. Is that far away from you Varo? If not let's meet up. I'm trying to get FreeAgent11 to meet up with me prior for food. I would like to meet Coach Jake Tyre for Cascade. He seems like a great coach and a great guy.

Champion Mike what kind of mess is this? If Grider finds out you are trying to meet with the this Tyre man before the game he will be real mad. This Tyre man was to lazy to even turn in his survey to Murphy. You better not be telling him Griders secrets before the game. Grider cant prepare our boys since he didnt fill out his survey for Murphys book. You think im joking but im not. Edited by Roy Dillard

    • Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.
    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
