he hate me not...have you forgot about the MR FOOTBALL FINALIST that Punched his GIRLFRIEND in the face....Hummmm ..sounds like assault to me...and last I checked mr football is an award for FOOTBALL!! and from what I hear that wasn't HIS 1st rodeo either..keep trying to make it sound like ooltewah is the high and mighty....Hamilton County sheriff's office was called to ooltewah around 100 times last year alone for disipline and or disturbances...looks like that 1 for every hardship transfer the have

First of all, before I had a stroke in August 2014, I was involved in the football and basketball programs at Ooltewah High School for 30 years. Two people who have replied in this thread know who I am face to face (baconbreath and RedRebels)  I don't know everything about what is going on, the authorities in Sevier County knows the most of anybody.

 

On hardships, kids can transfer from failing schools and if the school doesn't offer a particular subject, they can transfer to a school that does. Ooltewah offers German, not too many schools offer that. There maybe more things, but that is one that I do know. In regards of the case, I'm gonna let the authorities in Sevier County fill me in what is going on. Everything else out there is conjecture at this point. I'm not defending these actions, but any comments from me is just my opinion and I don't know enough to comment.

I'd say the odds of any of the transfer basketball players being in a German class are something less than the odds of winning on my now worthless powerball ticket.

Again, many played a part in the delay of explanations and information. Many have been criticized and Coach Montgomery has been reassigned, but the info forthcoming will at least explain why the Coach did not end the season earlier, why he did not speak to media, etc. While not perfect, the Coach was following instructions given by a very broken system in Hamilton co. and a very problematic school board.

After a month it appears some " right " decisions are starting to be made, though not by the school board. Way too little and too late in my opinion. Terminations should follow and a men's sports sabbatical should be announced now. Transfer athletes can go back to wherever them came from, (  of course those who are taking German should be exempt ). Stench of this mess and the way it was handled continues to grow and it appears the : see no, hear no, speak no  monkeys have been in charge of this asylum for some time.

      I havent kept up with Keeton since he went to Oakland, so hearing he is in a BOE role now, that may trump him coming back.  Rennard on the other hand. That dude is a Man Builder! And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few month back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

      Shoulders from Macon co.  A creasy protege. Has the best coached team in the area as of late. Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co. My dark horse candidate

      The baseball field is the baseball field. There are no clear favorites. It is a central location so that is why it is the site. This gets talked about every year and it is always the same answer.
