Funny. Was thinking the same thing.  Next thing you know he'll be sneaking around taking pictures of electric meters and sending them to the TSSAA.

Scrimmage went well but showed there is still a lot of work to do upfront and with the DB's. I think the offense will take care of itself with time and hard work this summer..

Thanks for the note..... Summit and Centennial scrimmaged this past Friday.... Summit held their own and then some.... but as you note always still

a lot of work to do regardless of performance.....

With the last days of school closing near the emphasis on the summer programs will soon be upon the Warriors. The rebirth of the Iron Warrior program and its participation will be key to the success of this team this fall. With the national spot light on both D'Andre Litaker and Gentry Bonds the Warriors should have something to build on. The key will be which players will step up and fill the gaps. There has been a great increase in weight training over the past few months and this summers programs could make the difference on development that has been missing for the past few years. Seven on Sevens should tell a lot on where the direction of the offense will be headed this fall. Overall, things are looking up for the Warriors and the will be  a lot of excitement heading into this fall. Work hard boys, you're responsible for your own progress during the summer months. Remember, character is what you do when no one is watching..

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
