If folks want to bring up the past, we can bring up the past....1983...Historic Freed Field...Trenton. Tn...We (Union City) had just beaten the Golden Tide 13-12 in a tough, hard fought game...We get on the bus to go home and all heck broke loose...Sounded like bombs going off... Windows in the bus breaking, glass flying everywhere...Come to find out Peabody fans or students pelted the bus with bricks...Could have seriously injured or even killed somebody on that bus...

 

I'm sure UC will be ready for Peabody this season...

You will this year, a little more competition than you might desire. Always things can happen but if Dresden is Healthy they take UC this year.

Hey stangdan. Dude you must have read this whole thread. I posted that months ago as a joke between me and yso. Yep it's football season again. Everybody is back on the boards. Gonna be fun. DresdeN is gonna be a threat for whoever they play. We know that. How competitive will the Stangs be? Last year was a bust.

I wish the Tornado lots of luck. When are they going to step up and play Mayfield? Only 30 minutes away and also 2a. They have 2 opening in their schedule for the next 2 years as both Fort Campbell and Marshall County are dropping the Cards.

Very likely could happen in 2017. We're moving to 2A and a smaller region, so we'll be able to schedule more non-region games. Thought we had it lined up last season, but the dates were off by a week. I'd rather travel to Mayfield than PA and SC.

I don't know why it would be considered stepping up. We would glad to play Mayfield. That should be a great game. Step up? Not sure that it wouldn't be a step up for Mayfield. Just saying.
