Totally classless post. First, he couldn't have failed at Catholic since he is an incoming freshman. Catholic self reported the issue so you can't hang the blame on Fulton. It looks like the Irish relied on parent supplied info without verifying all the facts. It is a shame that a player of miniscule contribution to the game would have a negative impact on the Irish season.

We live in a country where illegal aliens just walk across the border do anything they want without any repercussions yet an eighth grader played in a football game he wasn't supposed to so you go and punish 64 high school players by taking a win from them that had nothing to do with the eighth grader. I could see the TSSAA saying get this straightened out right now and don't let it happen again. Makes you think if Catholic hadn't reported it everyone on the team would have got 10 to 15 years in prison. That's why people lie in the first place and get into bigger trouble because of baloney like this. You give a group of peons enough authority and the next thing you know it's like dealing with a Hitler want to be.  Just like a Home Owner Association  where some Yankee moves in that was never anything in real life and gets on the board and the next thing you see is he'll be out in your yard taking down notes.

Morristown West is 1-0 since they picked up a W because Knox Catholic forfeited because they were playing an ineligible player. That's a rough way to start 0-1 for Knox Catholic!

Did the young man in question play illegally?  Was his grades verified, etc.?  If not, then he is ineligible.  What happens if it were for the region championship or worse yet for the state championship.  Its OK little buddy, get it fixed next year and don't do it again.  My papaw always said, if you steal once, you'll steal again and that makes you a thief.  I say if you cheat once, you'll cheat again and that makes you a cheater.
