The Riley Express comes to a screeching halt this Friday.

Maryvul by the dozens....

KV-I have got to ask a question. Why does Fulton choose to play #6 both ways? He is one of the best football players I have watched the past few years. He can dominate a game. FHS is well coached and very successful. I don't understand why another kid does not get more PT to allow #6 to rest. There has got to be a player or two on the sideline who could fill a spot on offense so mobley can concentrate on D.

I think you saw what happened when he wasn't in the game on Defense. We aren't fortunate enough to two platoon it. Would love to get to that point though. I wasn't happy we allowed him back out. He was obviously hurting.

He is a great player. Get some of those young studs ready on offense and let him terrorize from that LB spot. Good luck rest of the way.

I think playing many players both ways is a coaches choice. Fulton had a sideline full of players Saturday night and many look the part. GQ has several he could....and IMO opinion as a fan....play both ways and for the most part he doesn't. I understand they have the numbers but he seldom has his best 11 on the field at the same time. Alcoa uses the same reasoning with a sideline full of players that look the part.

You are on a Roll StrongX !! I couldn't agree more , he's a great offensive player , but he's a total game changer on Defense , I couldn't imagine going against a better linebacker this year .

I trust Coach Black enough to know what he is doing. If we had a guy to replace him, I think he would. Only my opinion

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
