steelcityroller
If the cutoffs posted by "The Ambassador" are correct (which are likely very close), I'll take a stab at the 1A regions Region 4 Jo Byrns Republic Gordonsville RBS Clay Co Pickett Co Monterey Gordonsville would win that region hands down pretty much every year. TALMAD
Gordonsville would win that region hands down pretty much every year.Nah not every year! Monterey has a pretty good crew coming up from Junior high! I won't get to witness it since my boy will be gone after next year but I would not say EVERY year! Coach
Always have the larger classes in lower classes if there is an odd number of teams.
Jet Pride
How about a stab at 2A also ......... Region 1 Hampton Happy Valley Sullivan North South Greene Cosby North Greene Region 2 Oneida Wartburg Rockwood *Harriman if they don't go to 1A *Cumberland Gap possibly whether Harriman moves or not Region 3 Bledsoe Co Meigs Co Tyner Academy Polk Co Tellico Marion Co Region 4 Jackson Co Clarksville Academy East Robertson Trousdale Co Westmoreland Watertown Houston Co Region 5 Columbia Academy Community Eagleville Forrest Cascade Summertown Richland Region 6 Scotts Hill Lewis Co Loretto East Hickman Decatur Co Riv Hickman Co Region 7 Halls Gibson Co Peabody TCA McKenzie Union City Region 8 Fairley Mitchell Hamilton East MAHS Douglass Manassas I think Houston County, East Hickman, and Jackson County could go to different regions if needed. The issues with drawing lines is in Mid TN in 2A. I think Regions 1, 3, 7, and 8 are pretty cut and dried. Thoughts, ideas, comments? I think Tellico Plains will be in region
TheAmbassador
The funny thing is that Trousdale County would have a much much easier region in 2A than they did in 1A.The numbers I see looks like you will get that chance in 2A. I don't see any scenario that puts them anywhere but 2A.
Guest hevyrevy1611
I hope we don't have mega-sized regions again where you have just a few non-region games. Playing good teams in higher classes for non-region contests (if they want to play us lil guys) is always good & helps the team be better imo. Suggestions for "outside" opponents that would be good for Dresden imo are teams like: Westview, Adamsville, UC, Peabody, McKenzie, TCA, even Milan, Dyersburg, Haywood, etc. Iron sharpens iron, the better the teams are one plays the better you'll get imo. Plus the rivalry aspect of the game is helpful too. Just my two cents.

When you are only able to schedule 2-3 non-region games that sucks some of the air out of local rivalries. For example when Trousdale County only had 4-5 region games and were able to schedule Macon County, Smith County, Friendship Christian and even Gallatin. TheAmbassador
Has TSSAA given a timetable as to when they unveil the new classes & who goes where? The classes will be announced tomorrow. Then teams will have a chance to move up. After that happens they will put them in regions.

Figuring out future schedules while teaching & coaching too, that must be a doozy of a job!

I can't stand the uneven regions, need 6 or 7 schools per region. Having 4 or 5 in a region is dumb when the top 4 make the playoffs. Having 9 in a region is too much. Even them out, 6 in a region and 1 or 2 regions with 7 teams.
SportsnetWriter2
I think Harriman will remain 1A.
