Where's UNIVERSAL? He'said just sitting back watching vultures circle what they think is a wounded bear.

 

What happened this season? Southaven(A 17 yard penalty... illegal formation out the I form... Replay the game winner... He just an inch short the second time around.. His knee hit the ground.

 

Ensworth( Ensworth is Ensworth )

 

Mahs(False start on the powers that be )

 

East ( Rookies in the outfield )

 

Mitchell ( When you rest your guys 8 to be exact ) .... One of your 3 top backs still goes off with no o-line and 5 key dense men out, and they finally break through for 1 score) hats off to them... But it won't be that way on in 3 weeks from now, contingent on them making it to face the BEAR.

 

LAST WEEKS PRE - PLAYOFF WARM UP ( THE BEAR GOT SOME NEWS ) AND 6 VULTURES GOT TOO CLOSE . 1 for every week left before they get to the main feast. My guess is you"ll never see that BEAR AGAIN after COOKEVILLE... THEY TRIED TO KILL IT, BUT THEY ONLY PISSED IT OFF, AND GOLD CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHIES ARE WHAT KEEPS IT CALM.

 

BRING ON # 2.... SEE YOU IN DECEMBER. BEARS OUT !

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
