Hey Varo. Hope all is well. You gonna be passing out those famous Varo burgers and dogs this year?

God is good, thanks.  I'm sure we will have plenty, and hope that they are not crow-burgers!  I'll make yours a double, we always feed our friends!  The wife and I and a carful of kids are planning on coming up early and I want to try out the giant burger at Harvey's.  Is it all I've heard about?

Yes, Harvey is my uncle. My Dad and all his brothers and sisters work there as well. You will need to get there early because they close fairly early, around 3 cst on game day.

Not all middle schoolers become good high school players either

And not all little leagues become good middle school players. I remember a lot of 8 year old studs who never saw the field again after little league..  Point is, it'll be a long while befor jasper beats SP. And Jasper will nvr put up a strek like they did from 80-87, and 88-96... bet on that... It just makes me mad ppl trying to hurt SP right now because of jealousy...

Good to know.  Hoping to leave Fayette-vegas around 1 so we should have some time before they close.

I think we can score on most anyone but the defense is kinda a bend but don't break defense. We have given up some yards and a few Td's and our KO team is suspect,we were shown that with the kid from Cornersville taking one to the house, who btw was a great player. We give to many teams great starting field position and against a good team that can hurt us so we need to shore that up this week bc Fayetville always had some good athletes that could make thing's hard on us.. I look forward a good game but in the end I believe since it's at home and we still have to much firepower in the end.. I see about a 21-28 point game.. I thought I'd talk about the game some bc this thread almost reads like a newspaper with so may stories..

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching stuff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching stuff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
