boyfromsi
Cats 87-66 over CAK. Quality opening win. CAK is a good team. Yes, CAK shot the ball well at times. We made some patented runs that gave us a double digit lead in the 2nd. It will take some time for our guys to gel, but once that happens, we should make a good run again. HOOPSGURU
Oak Ridge has the most talented team this side of Brentwood Academy even without Tee this season. Hoosiers? What a joke! Next season will be the first season since Coach Green arrived when he won't have the best talent in East Tn,

West had the best talent in East TN that year. They only lost to eventual state champion Craigmont by 5 at state that year.
FLMS
It was great to have the tradition, talent, fans and coaching of Oak Ridge at CAK tonight. Though we lost it was a great home crowd for us and playing against Oak Ridge can't help but make us better in AA. Tonight was great for CAK basketball to see tradition and a great team

rockytop7
HOOSIERS = OAK RIDGE I believe this year marks the thirty years since the movie Hoosiers stoles the hearts of high school basketball fans. Small town, local players playing for the local team doing good. Just a terrific story. In Tennessee, we have four large cities with public and private schools all scrambling for the top players. Recruiting is common place. Then the Volunteer state has small towns full of local kids who dream to play for the local high school team just like their dads, uncles, brothers and neighbors had for generations before them. Oak Ridge basketball is made up of such kids. Yes, the Wildcats have some extremely talented players but no ESPN Top 500 players of top D-1 players. Just a bunch of kids who have grown up playing with and against each others since the age of five. The best player in the town isn't even playing this year as he prepares for college football. Many people wonder if he will sill play. It is a mystery. This year Oak Ridge takes on the role of Hickory, Indiana. They must play a gauntlet of teams both small and large. If they make it to the Boro they will face the Memphis teams loaded with top players in the country. Are our Wildcats destinies darlings? Could they pull off the impossible and win State? I don't know but I have my faith in them. My heart will rise and fall as the season rolls along. My eyes will be on the prize and no fear will I let creep into my soul. Good luck Cats and Roll Wildcats Roll! My favorite part of the movie is when Jimmy Chitwood decides to play. Read in to that statement as much as you want

Tonight was great for CAK basketball to see tradition and a great team Great crowd and atmosphere for the game. Coach Wells certainly doesn't avoid the competition and it will really help down the stretch. Both Wells and Green do a great job playing to their teams strengths. Nice runs by both teams. CAK shot the ball very well from outside but didn't really have an inside presence just yet. OR got after it on the defensive end and created lots of points with pressure and transition. Fun game to watch (except for realizing we'll play CAK 3-4 times this year) with 3s, dunks, great passes, intensity on both ends. On a side note....I wouldn't want to be an official stuck on the bench side of the floor for very long. Both coaches certainly pleaded their cases all night.
