BarneySox2007
What BS do you speaketh of Barn? I am bringing out my fact checker because the morning crowd at Hardees and the corner marketbunch can pile the BS high and deep. How would you feel if you were GQ and being the A.D. and there had been a school board election recently and you were made to fire your baseball coach which is your defensive coordinator that has been a big key to your winning eleven state championships. How would you feel if the the Daily Times had your name splattered with headlines that you were fired as the baseball coach but you went 21-11 and the year before 20-12 and the year before that 23 -12. The worst part is the high school builds a new baseball field finally and a new coach gets to come in and enjoy the rewards except he went 19-20 last year and is 6-6 right now. It just seems odd that three months after GQ had to tell him he wasn't being retained the next year that he resigned a week into the season for what ever reason I don't know but I'm 100% certain the folks at Clinton are sure happy to have him back. I thought if it were health reasons he would take a leave of absents maybe for a year but that didn't happen either. My beef is with the school board and has nothing to do with Hardee's and how deep the BS runs there. I would feel the same way for the new coach if that situation had happened to them an all the sudden you've lost one of your two key assistant coaches at that point and time of the season. Spanky if he had done something wrong he would have been fired from football also. Just going to be strange seeing him on the other side next week. I do know that the school board wanted a full time teacher as a head coach, and Jimmy had retired...correct? IMO that does make some sense. The rest of the stuff is history and from what I understand Jimmy is very happy with his life. I for one am glad he is back doing what he loves....and I don't care if it is at Maryville or Clinton.
