CLINTON DRAGONS 2017?

If the AC kid plans on going to Clinton then I have no problem with it, sounds like he's a player. IF and WHEN Linderman comes to Clinton you will know who he is. He's currently 6'3 220, exceptionally athletic, pretty muscular for his size, not to mention he's an 8th grader with facial hair! I don't think I've ever seen a kid that developed for his age.

Off topic, I coached against him during the season and had him on our TNAAU Region 1 All Star wrestling team. Based on what I know about him I won't be surprised if he's one of the top DT's or TE's (his preferred positions) in the state by the time he's a Senior.

Oh it's true...it's darn true!! The kids picture is in the Clinton Courier running the football in the Maryville scrimmage. I think that is how they got busted. http://mycouriernews.com/articles/2017/04/5116.php

OK Dragon fans...you may love your new coach BUT this may be the most brazen act of complete stupidity I've heard about in a LONG LONG time! WOW!!!

The only "problem" is that this student's participation in spring practice is highly forbidden by TSSAA rules if he is not a student at Clinton High at the time he participates in practice.  Depending on what route the powers that be in Hermitage opt to take, the student could be ruled ineligible to participate in sports at any TSSAA school next year, and if the allegations prove true, then Clinton can be punished with serious sanctions for allowing it, if they, in fact, did so.

Yep, exactly. I honestly hope it isn't true. Clinton fans have suffered long enough under Kerr.

    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
