The predicted teams are here. It's what UC especially wanted. Been two of the best teams in the state all year this season, even tops for years past too, especially Union City. Dresden took advantage of lotsa Tornado mishaps in regular season, and everyone knows, including Dresden that this game won't look anything like first one. UC is back in storm mode, that attitude & playing that's won them lotsa Gold, plus they'll have a huge revenge factor after the embarassing loss Dresden gave them (very unlike UC). And Lions are in beast mode like hardly has ever been seen before, all our many weapons are firing wide open and shooting true. We have best defense in state, and probably best offense too. Will be a clash of two champion-hearted teams this upcoming cold, wintery Friday the 18th at Rotary Field in Dresden. Gates open around 5:45, kickoff at 7pm. Talk about a packed stadium! Gonna be epic! Don't think it'll be a blowout, and UC may have an emotional edge because of revenge factor, and they been here before more than Lions and know how to win, so they'll be the more veteran team in playoff situations. Even so, methinks in spite of this, what's happening with Dresden is special and they'll not be beat. Not by UC this week. Lions have unfinished business this year, and they are not yet done. Still hungry. Still playing with a chip on shoulder & purpose in heart. Got a gut ache that can't be settled unless they win it all. This one should be a game for the ages, with Lions winning imo. Others say what?

Winn had 350+ yards this game. Running. Passing. Scrambling. Honestly he is in best form of season. A running clock against a good Golden Tide team should tell you something. Not many defensive scores tonight either, so it was almost all offensive scoring. Winn was a great field general with many, many weapons at his disposal. Used lots of them tonight, and spread around the love. Did great at punting too. Yep, injury was a non-event as it were. Tonight was his birthday too, so what a great present, eh?

Reading the small print in playoff rules, at this stage of playoffs, in even numbered years the team on bottom of bracket hosts, odd years its top of bracket. (I think I got that right). I glad we host so we don't run risk of our guys suffering motion sickness or "bus lag". Haha

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
