I don't think it was a matter of making Rankin mad. I think it was more of breaking school policies.

Not sure how the kid picks up the pieces at this point of the season and moves forward.  it might have been the best had Rankin just cut bait last spring and give the young man a fighting chance to go somewhere else and start all over with a new team and surroundings.  Some problems can be handled with discipline but some are not so easy and takes time and plenty of good help.  I've seen Alcoa in two scrimmages this fall and they will do just fine without him. They have a great QB that can hit the receivers on the hands running and a good running back that can carry a load so don't look for any drop off.

At some point the young man has to WANT to help himself.

Nah....barney, the Alcoa program tried and tried to help him. You can lead a horse to water,but you can not make it drink. Sad.

Alcoa will be loaded and have a great year.  Is it an F3-F4 kind of year though is the question?  They've lost some awesome firepower offensively and missed out on having some incredibly talented skill guys.  

Coach Nix has an F5 defense brewing!!!!
