HTV, what do you know about Rang heading back east?

 

The allure of getting back closer to home is always compelling.  

 

But that said, I don't know anything definite one way or the other at this point.  Derek has told me that he believes that he has a great job at Dresden and could see himself staying there for a long time.

You may be surprised as to what will happen in the next little bit then.

No.  I, I won't be.  I know what may or may not be going on.  It's no secret that Derek and I are friends.  It's just not my practice to comment on coaches when they look at other job possibilities.  It's high school football, not college or professional football.  I don't name names because I don't want to put a coach in a bad position with his current school if things don't work out elsewhere for him.  

 

Something may happen, and something may not happen.

I wish you all had information like this regarding the future coach of Loudon Football lol. Not sure they have made any steps forward in the progress to find a new coach. It is just odd that over a month has gone by and nothing has been done.

The decision making at Loudon is pathetic!! First of all, why did you wait until February to get rid of Campbell!!! Should have been done in early December! A new coach should have been hired by now. Instead your going to go into Spring practice saying who's that guy and what's your name!

What makes you 100% sure HTV? I know the names being discussed but no confirmation yet. I guess the key word is Yet.

 

Because a student can't participate in workouts (in season or off season) with a team until he/she is enrolled in that school, per TSSAA rules.

 

That key cog I was referencing was participating in off season work with the guys in Fountain City yesterday.

I believe two things....

 

Since its become a Central/Loudon thread....

 

1. Interviews for the Loudon job should be this week.  If I read the newspaper correctly Coach Roberts wanted the coach named by April 1

 

2. Knox Central should be getting the QB from Carter....is that the big grab you all are referring to???

Which paper did you read that about Loudon in? From the way it sounds, they have taken over a month to start interviews, but plan to take only a week to decide on a coach? They already know who they are going to hire (which I believe) or they are just that big of a mess. Either way, I hope that deadline is the correct one. As far as the QB transfer, that could be a game changer depending on how well he fits in with the team and the system or how they can make it fit around him.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
