Mayberry from Peabody needs to be added to this list. Avg 17/18 pts a game on a very balanced scoring group from Peabody. Seen her play vs. several from this list and has out played or played as well as them. Helped hold Shutes and Thompson to 2 pts in games this year also. Kid can shoot the ball, causes problems on defense as well with her length.

Mayberry does deserve to be on the list.  That girl is in range when she gets off the bus!

No Fillies on the list. Interesting considering they beat Moore/Darby from Greenfield and Green from Gleason 2x. Must have a better TEAM

You're more than welcome to put up your own list for all to see, ok. If not, then please stop whining! And just for the record, i like the Swenson kid ( football coach's daughter ).

Swenson kid is a baller as is the Fillie PG, but neither are better than the girls on the list, IMO.  Huntington does have a better team than Greenfield.  Greenfield has the two best players but it takes 5 to play and win as Huntington showed when they met on the court.

Just watched the Greenfield / Huntingdon rematch. This one was over by halftime ( Greenfield up 36-17 ). Looks like the better TEAM won tonight! Tess Darby had 18pts and Chloe Moore 16pts ( maybe even a double-double ). Against Henry County over the Chrictmas break Moore had a double-double, 19pts 12ast , while Darby had 32 points. Tonight it looked like Greenfield make adjustments from the first game while Huntingdon had problems handling the press. That being said, both teams will make a strong push at Murfreesboro. Wouldn't be surprised to see boths squads there.

I thought the same thing until watching this game.  Unless HuntingDon figures out how to handle a press, they may be held out of murfreesboro, which is a shame because they have potential to make a deep run.

I have only talked to couple people about Huntington and while they spoke well of what they are doing, I still come back to the Greenfield girls everytime I see them and yeah the two girls are good but they make adjustments themselves during play and that's a difference maker for a run at the state. I think they have the best point guard and definitely the best one-two punch I've seen this year. I saw Westview over the break and theirs posts are hard to handle but Greenfield is still my # 1 right now.

Greenfield #1 is hard to argue against after throttling one of the best West TN team on their home court by 19.  If they stay out of foul trouble, they may bring a gold ball back to Greenfield!

Westview is the best team in West TN if not the state. Greenfield is the best Single A team in West TN with Dresden and Huntingdon right behind. Middle and East TN Single A are much better and its not even close

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
