Assuming no football injuries, I think Coalfield comes out of district 3, region 2. Lost a couple of contributors, but key players return from team that lost by four to state champion Harriman (at Hman) last year in region. Should be better overall talent on this team plus possibly the best player in the region in Mckinney. May take a while though,  all starters and nine of top ten players are football players. New coach as well.

Your defending State Champs the Harriman Blue Devils are certainly eyeing a run at another title! The Big Blue replace a lot of key pieces this season but also return some very good contributors from last year's championship team. A lot of raw and unseen talent on the roster for the Blue Devils this year!

Im  hearing Union City has recruited a kid about 6'10.May not be anything to it but just what I have heard. Wouldnt surprise me .Anyone know if its true?

Yea, they still have some solid players. Probably 4th - 6th going in, with a solid chance to move up depending on how things come together for them and those starting above them in district 3.

After making a final four run last year, Columbia Academy should be ready to go for this year. I believe they only lost one starter from last years team.

Humboldt is going to have a say in their region.  I heard they got a transfer from Bradford that can really hoop. plus the guys they have returning have experience at the highest level in the Boro.

Humboldt will have a lot of depth & size for a 1a school, if the guards can step up they will be tuff to beat with Anthony Jones & Justin Pankey down low. The transfer is originally from Humboldt, him & his brother played for Bradford last year but will give the Vikings a deep bench. Hopefully, this year team will finish strong & continue to play great team defense & unselfishness in order to have a chance to make it to the Boro!!! Humboldt is playing a tough schedule this year, Brownsville, liberty, Memphis Whitestation & plays in a tournament in Arkansas & Missouri against larger schools so they will be battle tested. Humboldt scrimmaged Dickson County & Lexington and won both games, beat DC by twenty (20) plus & Lexington by nine (9).

Columbia Academy will play at Humboldt on February 3rd in Humboldt so should be a good gauge before district tournaments starts.

I think the Vikes have WhiteStation December the 2nd at Jackson. that will be a tough test!

Yes, December 2nd at Union University so that will be a big test but they play in Arkansas November 22-24 & I'm sure there will be some good teams there as well!!!!

What part of Arkansas? What time does Humboldt  time play Saturday in the Jamboree at CC? Starting time for the Whitestation game?

Agreed! A lot of people will be sleeping on the Big Blue because of what they lost. Harriman has always played well in the underdog role though so we're just fine proving folks wrong!
