We do pretty good with what we have. Home grown talent. We don't have the resources like Titan Tire etc to get a player from Ohio like UC did with Parker and get players from South Fulton, Westview etc.Lake Co is loaded with a bunch of sophomores and a lot of talent at the middle school .So we don't have to go out and recruit .Feels  better when we play and win with what we have instead of hiring someone

I'm pretty sure Parker came when his dad got hired as an assistant, now the head, coach at UTM.

I know he did.But he didn't go to school at westview for some reason.

Stubbs.. He might get some playing time. He is pretty good but will have to adjust to high school speed and develop more.. he is a solid baseball player too

Because when you have a kid that can hoop people ask around about the best place for them to go. Everyone is going to say UC over Martin.

There was a kid in the late 90's named Eric Bachelor that played for Westview. His mother magically got a job in Martin when they moved to the area. Jason Harrell drove from Martin to Obion Central to play ball. It happens in that area a lot. 

LC kids don't move in and out often because there is nothing to move in and out for. Same for other places like Greenfield, Gleason, Dresden, Humboldt, etc...

That's a hard thing to find now days! The top teams we've faced in football and basketball playoffs are not "home grown" teams. More and more of the small, rural schools are drawing talent these days too.

At Hampton, to get "stud" transfers means we have to line up jobs beforehand....But it's been difficult to do as McDonald's and Subway here are fully staffed

That's  all we have here is a Sonic.We don't have hospitals ,Discovery Park, Titan Tire, about 25 fast food places and restaurants etc.

Sonic??? Man you all are big time! Ever so often a kid will come here because their dad or some family member played here back in the day...But we mainly do with what we have.

I do remember playing LC at the boro in '11, the players could play and that lady coach could coach!

Some good LC talent has gone to Dyersburg and Dyer County...
