Very evenly matched series going back to 1928.
Oak Ridge won last year 41-28.
DB last won in 2008 28-13.
OR has won 21 games and DB has won 19 in the series history.
DB has 13 state titles and OR has 8.
With the series being so tight, one has to think that statistically DB wins this one to make it 21-20 in favor of OR.

We weren't a school till 1943, so it couldn't be 1928 :P

DB fans, Oak Ridge was VERY FORTUNATE to win Friday night. Ask any Wildcat fan who attended the game. Hardin Valley had a go-ahead touchdown called back in the 3rd quarter and MISSED A FREAKIN' EXTRA POINT that would have sent the game into overtime with less than 10 seconds left. DB wins EASILY Friday night...

Bold statement lol! This should be a good game! Oak ridge coaches aren't that great! Caleb martin scores first play of the game, and doesn't get a pass attended all game! I'm looming forward to see if oak ridge uses their playmakers better down the season

Yes unless something bends or breaks.

Thanks papa. David sent me a tweet and confirmed what you said. He also said I could listen to Victory 92.7 on my smartphone. Little does he know I still use an old flip phone from Wal-Mart lol. My wife does have a smartphone though and she has the app to listen to the game.

Guy @ the JC Press talks fans off the ledge after the Greeneville loss, says it is no big deal for DB and the Indians will still have a fine season:

Overreaction No. 3

Dobyns-Bennett is in for a long season against Class 6A teams.

Supporting evidence: The Indians lost by two touchdowns to Class 4A Greeneville.

Best takeaway

Greeneville is a state-title threat in Class 4A, and the Indians were ahead, 21-14, entering the fourth quarter. And they out-gained Greeneville, 422-300. This game was not a big negative for D-B.
