We are a good team. We are one of the 10 best teams and still deserve to be ranked. We have played a hard schedule and got some bad refs a few times too. We have a good team and nobody believes me when I tell them.

Lewis County has played better each week, especially on the defensive side of the ball. The defensive line continues to be the strength of the team, and the offense is getting valuable experience from young backs in the absence of Brown. That being said, the combined record of their opponents through today is only 7-17. The record of remaining opponents is also barely over .500 at 13-11. I think the Panthers have a great chance at running the regular season table, and should get good matchups in the first couple rounds of the playoffs. However, I hold off on thinking they are a top 3 team right now with teams like Waverly, Happy Valley, Peabody, Trousdale, and TCA in the mix.

Nothing is certain, but LC has two major obstacles. Problem #1 is Obion County. Not traditionally strong, but they have some good wins this season. Problem #2 is the 2A teams from the west...somewhere down the line Lewis Co. has to deal with at least one of them, and there are more than a couple who are capable of coming to Hohenwald and sending the Panthers home.

I love the AP polls as much as anybody but there is no need to feel cheated or get worked up. We will all have our chance to prove who we are in the playoffs. Looking forward to Meigs County in the 3rd round if we are fortunate enough to play them.  Go HV !!

We will see what happens at the end and see who is right
