Amagine if Boro. Rutherford county. Had opened football inrollment

With all the athletes and D-1 prospect in the Boro this would be disaster for the state. As well as some other schools in the boro.....top 10 team in the country maybe...like to see tsaa Grant this

If I'm not mistaken the TSSAA has zero control over how counties decide enrollment or school zones. Also, at least one school in Rutherford county is able to pull athletes from the entire county due to their IB program.

Williamson Co. also. Private Division, open enrollment Division, play at the closest school Division.

I guess I'm old school thinking. I think kids should go where they live closest to.

Rutherford County might not have "open enrollment," but kids certainly don't always play where they're "supposed" to play. I wouldn't say they'd be a Top-10 team nationally even if they completely removed the borders, though.

I think you would be shocked at how few athletes are in the IB program. Oakland may have 2-3 starters TOTAL in all the major sports who are able to take an IB classload and be involved in a major sport.

A lot of players zone for Siegel play at Oakland .....at least last year amagine if those kids stay at Siegel ....or they will move..but thats a Siegel  problem not Oakland..

I'm old enough to remember when Rankin coached at Riverdale, that was pretty much the case.

Always a Patriot you may very well be correct. I would have to think the coursework would be a lot more difficult. However, is it true that once a student is enrolled in the IB program if they decide to get out of the program they are allowed to stay at the school. I am asking because this is what I have heard.

That "IFL" transfer ball works pretty good for Alcoa and Maryville year to year.  Without out of zone kids those schools dont have half the wins and championships they have now.
