Yep. Our backups needs the work. That's for sure. Gonna be a long season next year. Glad they finally got a lot of playing time against that offense.

C'mon man...its been a tough year for the Govs, they need something to feel good about.  Guvna is just trying to find the positive

They will find it next year. They have a chance at finishing 3rd than anyone else in this region. First and second is probably a lock with Maryville and Cleveland. Their offense did look pretty good last night. Really hope that RB was a SR last night lol.

I'm taking the govs in this one. They've been sandbagging all yr. They are really a very talented team with good coaching. Just haven't gotten the breaks in a while.

One of the players told me that "Shad is a great coach, I know that because he reminds us every day how great he is".....so you may have to replace "good coaching" with "great coaching".

Not that it matters, but your starters were in until at least early in the 2nd half. Our O scored 14 on them in the first half and might have scored 2 more tds had it not been for turnovers.

Regardless, our offense played one of its best games of the season. Its been 3 and out city all year and it seemed like we moved the ball consistently against BC and had some big plays which was encouraging to see.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
