How many seniors started for Central last year? I know the QB was a senior and i felt like there were around 12-15 on the roster maybe? I just can't remember how many started.

I think 11, I think the defense returns almost everyone.  There were times last year, there were only one to three seniors of the field defensively.

How do you all think you will do in the district this year?

I could see us in that 3 or 4 spot.  I am not sure what Signal or Loudon has this year.  I hear Red Bank is going to be pretty good again.  I think Sweetwater and Brainard are winnable games.

He is doing a fine job this spring.

I did not question whether he was doing a good job or not. The Chargers have certainly had some good moments under his leadership.

I was merely saying what I had heard. I have heard from multiple people that his heart is not really in coaching and he only coaches because the admin wants him to.

Signal returns several skill players but are inexperienced at QB.  Not real sure about Sweetwater and Brainerd but Red Bank should be good again this year.  They lost quite a bit on defense but return some players that can fill in and their offense should be pretty explosive.  I think Loudon will be pretty good too.

Loudon will be a solid team with their skipper back.He knows how to coach them Loudon boys!

MCentral had some really bright spots in tonight’s scrimmage. Don’t think we’ll be a pushover this season. Big difference in spring scrimmage and tonight. Hats off to the staff. Your hard work is truly noticed.

Nice to hear about Central being better. Who did you scrimmage? And how did you fair?

Night and day difference imo. Dominated East Ridge 1-0 in 20 plays. Lost to Soddy 1-0. Lost to Bradley 1-0. Tied Knox Catholic 0-0 with an INT.

Those are competitive scores at the least. I saw earlier you all are scheduled to play after us in the jamboree I think against Sequoyah. Put it on them! Be good to see an improved Central team.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
