scoring 42 of the 51 points with two girls wont be good down the road.....needs to develop other players for the long haul.

I was talking about Carter and Gregory had 42 combined of MC’s 72 points. I’m sure you knew. Just looked like you were talking about cannon

MC loses to a talented top-ranked Ensworth team 67-52. MC pulled within close many times but Ensworth got on some runs. Very impressive by the Tigerettes. They play summit at 12 tomorrow.

A little surprised, Ensworth lost to Rhea County by 20+ and barely beat Cleveland.

Well MC had beaten Rhea County in the summer. MC was playing without Ashburn tonight which hurt in the shooting game. And MC didn’t shoot well when they had the opportunity.

Not to mention these teams are 3A and Division II. MC will get some tough competition tomorrow and in Phoenix next week. Only helping us get ready for the tougher competition

I know those teams are 3A, Rhea has struggled so far this year going 4-7 losing to McMinn County by around 20 and Walker Valley. Meigs beat McMinn and Walker Valley. I know Macon is a good team, I was just surprised that they lost.

I understand. The loss of Ashburn hurt. Like I said we missed some shots that could’ve made the game closer which are shots our girls would normally make. And we had beaten Rhea by quiet a bit in the summer. So we’ll see what happens against Summit tomorrow

I totally understand, messing key players can throw the rhythm of.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
