TheStuff
#2 Columbia Academy (5-0, 2-0) off Community (1-3, 0-1) @ 4AA Cascade (0-4, 0-2) Eagleville (3-2, 2-1) vs. 5A Moore County (4-1, 1-1) Forrest (2-3, 1-2) vs. 4AA Watertown (5-0, 2-0) Lewis County (4-1, 3-0) vs. 6AA Hickman County (4-1, 2-0) Loretto (1-3, 0-1) @ 6AA East Hickman (0-5, 0-2) Summertown (2-3, 0-3) @ 6A Collinwood (1-3, 1-0) No Region 5AA matchups this week. #2 Columbia Academy (5-0, 2-0) Continued its march through the 2018 slate with a 38-0 shellacking of Forrest in Chapel Hill. The Bulldogs hit the mid-season mark with an unblemished record and are off this week Community (1-3, 0-1) matched Eagleville almost score for score throughout their contest Friday night in the first region game of 2018 for the Vikings, coming up just short in a 35-30 final. This week the Vikings step out of region to take on Bedford County rival Region 4AA Cascade (0-4, 0-2) at Wartrace. This is great opportunity for Community to pick up their second win of 2018 as the Champions have lost 14 straight games. Eagleville (3-2, 2-1) escaped Unionville with a 35-30 win over Community, and now returns home for a non-region matchup with 5A Moore County (4-1, 1-1). The Eagles have been on a roller coaster for the season and would like to repeat last years result with the Raiders where they left Lynchburg with a 41-7 win. The Eagles and the Raiders have had similar results against two common opponents, both shut out by the Cornersville machine, and both winning against Community. This game should be much closer than last year’s 41-7 Eagle win. Forrest (2-3, 1-2) continues to struggle to find an identity and put together a full, four-quarter effort that matches their potential. In their last three weeks, the Rockets have played two 1-possession games (Summertown, Eagleville) and were in the game early with Columbia Academy. This week, they host undefeated 4AA Watertown (5-0, 2-0). 4 of Watertown’s 5 wins have been blowouts, and so the Rockets will need their best full-game effort to keep this one close. The Rockets lost 8-7 last season, may not be close this time around. Lewis County (4-1, 3-0) had little trouble with Region 5AA opponent Summertown on Homecoming last week, and now turn their sights to bitter rival Hickman County (4-1, 2-0) in the “Battle for the Brown Jug” in Hohenwald. The Panthers are 12-5 since 2000 against the Bulldogs and have won 3 straight by an average score of 46-10. Hickman County comes into the Lewis County game 4-1 as they did last year. The Bulldogs lone loss was to a Summertown team that Lewis County had no problem with last week. The Panthers should roll again this year and keep the Jug. Loretto (1-3, 0-1) had a week off to celebrate their first win of the 2018 season two weeks ago and are set to travel 6AA East Hickman (0-5, 0-2). The Mustangs beat the Eagles at home last year 34-7 and have a real good opportunity to pick up another win in Lyles. The Eagles have dropped 6 straight and 12 of their last 15. Summertown (2-3, 0-3) has now lost 3 straight after starting the season 2-0. The Eagles were able to get in the endzone late in the Lewis County game after being held scoreless for about 12 straight quarters. The should have plenty of opportunities to find paydirt this week as they travel to 6A Collinwood (1-3, 1-0). The Trojans picked up their first win of the season, a region win against Perry County 53-0, on Friday. Summertown should even their record up with a win this week. EHSEagles
Yes, Eagleville / Moore Co. game will be closer than last year. I predict about a 10-12 pt. Eagle win.

CA JV comes back tonight from a 22-7 deficit at halftime to beat Forrest JV 29-28. Just in case you care.

Since you are announcing non-varsity results, how did CA Jr High fair against Lewis County at home? Lewis County JV guys were BIG! Lewis Co always has a good program and we've had some battles in middle school as well throughout the years. Vandychris
7 points in 4 games. Summertown has hit a wall. Collinwood with a last second TD to pull out a 7-0 win.
