Yeah they lost in the Jamboree. They also played the JV and 2nd string for most of the game. They got beat pretty bad last year too by Cleveland in the Jamboree, and still pulled it together for WB with a back up QB most of the game. Don't put too much stock in the Jamboree.  Still need more kids for some depth, but hey you work with what you got I guess. Looks to be about 40 on varsity again this year.

All jokes aside, this will be a good ballgame because there will be a lot of unknowns for each team. I heard LC had a lot of starters back then I read the Herald and it said you all only return one offensive linemen.

I seen them last week in scrimmage at Sequoyah. Same old song and dance.

I didn't see it but I did see in the paper Sequoyah won 14-13 when the Chiefs broke a 70 yard run on LC.  But keep in mind the coach for LC was quick to mention they had put their 3rd team defense and JV team in when that happened. From what I gather LC has a pretty good defense but did lose a lot up front off last years team. This should be a good ballgame either way.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
