EAGLEVILLE @ FORREST

Eagleville is embarrassed and I believe better than the 41-0 loss to Cornersville shows.

Forrest is better than the embarrassing, non-competitive loss to BGA.

Two teams with something to prove who played a hard hitting game last year which was a 1 point OT result.

- This is from the "duh" dept, but stop Cobb and you stop Eagleville's offense. If he is making plays with his arm and legs, Forrest will be in a dogfight.

- Can Forrest bulldoze Eagleville's defense like they did Fayetteville's? I think Eagleville will be better in the trenches, but the Forrest at Fayetteville was the Forrest of 2-3 seasons ago. Smashing heads and running amok for 6+ yards a carry.

Forrest's first home game. Rockets need a great fan turnout and their best game (again) in 2 years to win.

I think the biggest danger for Forrest is a letdown. They were so dominant last week that it will be easy to think "we got this"

They need to remember last year's loss and realize that a player like Cobb can beat you so many ways, Fayetteville had nothing like Cobb.

i'm going with

Forrest-  31

Eagleville-  21

This will be a war.

Lots of fluff there. :D

Forrest rolls again this week. Eagleville loses big again on the road to a more physical Marshall County team.

A more physical Marshall county team yalls JV ain't to physical and Fayetteville is a young team wouldn't brag to much on that one

I will say the post another way -"For the second week in a row Eagleville loses to a team from Marshall County that is more physical than the Eagles.

Nothing was said to disparage the Bulldogs in that post. Eagleville was manhandled by Cornersville and Huntland went toe to toe for a half. Eagleville lost some very good seniors from the 2017 team and the 2018 team has not played well so far.

I haven't bragged a minute on the Fayetteville victory. The game turned out how I expected. After this week the remainder of the bulldog schedule will feature opponents like that.

Congrats on the hard fought JV win, I've seen two CHS posts on the subject on a statewide website about that game. it must have been a dandy. Hopefully, you have some momentum going into next week's JV game.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
