The assessment was ok. EHS gets the choice to enforce on the extra point or kickoff since it was a deadball after the TD.

The problem was the penalty. The RB ran over to cornerback and scored. Another eagleville defender comes over late and bristles up against the Forrest receiver and both guys exchanged words. We got a 15 yarder at a crucial point to the game when all three players were jawing. No shoving and no yelling. I’ve seen much worse never flagged. Unless he let loose with some profanity I didn’t see a foul. I was standing right on the fence where it happened.

I didn't see what happened from visitors stands. Thanks for info.

Forrest, with the talent they have, COULD win out and finish 8-2. I truly believe that.

A 5-5 season is looking more likely, with losses to CA, LC and W'Town.

Lose to Summertown next week and you're looking at 4-6 for a second straight regular season.

Lose to Loretto or Community, and it might be the worst season in history.

Focus on this week. Summertown is not as talented as Forrest. Get a 2 score lead and grind out a 14-21 pt win. Then worry about the rest.

Forrest was not MENTALLY prepared for Eagleville to come out hitting, which they did, and the 3rd Q performance of Cobb. IDK who is to blame for that, probably a little bit of everyone.

That’s the key. I’ve been told that there is a zero tolerance for any profanity this year. Things get heated, it’s an emotional game, and even the best of us can let loose with an  inappropriate word. But from what I understand, if the refs hear it, it’s a flag, no questions asked. I have no idea if that’s what took place here, but I’d lay some good odds on it. It’s a tough lesson for sure.

Lmbo I couldn’t imagine contemplating losing to Community. My, how have times changed in Marshall County? Chapel Hill is now the least talked about program in Marshall’s County. Sad with all that talent/numbers!!!

Don't look past Summertown.  CA came out flat and struggled the first half.  Maybe it was too many distractions with Homecoming.  Summertown came to play.  After the half and adjustments, CA never looked back.

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
