York @ Oneida

Oneida has a solid football team without  question, but York is realistically 3-4 TDs better this year.... Without the 2 fumbles.  But Oneida is a hard nosed football team that doesn't  give up anything easy.

Dragons 5-0 on the season with only 1 home game.  On to Baxter to face Upperman for the region #1 spot  next week.

No way York is 3-4 TDS better. I was lookin to be impressed by the way everyone was talkin. I wasn’t impressed at all. Yeah York beat us but not impressed with them at all. Go ahead and go 10-0 then look forward to the runnin clock at Alcoa.

Well maybe you all can go 10-0 oh wait not possible.  Everyone is entitled to an opinion be a man and say I don’t agree.  If we get to a running clock against Alcoa undefeated we did it by beating you   NUFF SAID GO DRAGONS!!!!

Great job guys! I’m just tellin you York is not 3-4TDs better. Just wasn’t impressed by York. I have an opinion and my opinion is York just isn’t as good as what everyone said. I mean 3A teams are supposed to beat 1A and 2A schools. I mean if I had to beat 1A and 2A schools to get to 10-0 then  Great win York! Good Luck rest of the way!

Not downing Oneida at all.  Just heard all week that you must've seen the Harriman game every time someone said York was better.  All I'm  saying is so far anyway, you guys were York's Harriman game.  We still won.  Take away the first drive and York stunk the entire 1st half, absolutely dominated the 2nd half.... And without the 2 fumbles almost assuredly wins by at least 18 probably more, on the road in a very tough environment.

You got a tough, hard nosed team but if they couldn't beat  the Dragons tonight they were never going to.

Totally with you a solid 3 TD better team. I think they will see how lucky they was when they watch the film. We just had too many turnovers and thankfully Oneida couldn’t capitalize on them.

    • That was after the 2nd year of a 4 year cycle.  Since Covid we have been on a 2 year cycle.  So, there really isn't a "mid cycle" reclassification this time.   Idk if there's anything in place to address the issue of a school closing.  My guess is, nothing can be done.  This would be akin to the 1st year of a 4 year cycle, where a school has the 20% +/- but not allowed or even have the option to move up or down.
    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
