You assume we can schedule anybody we want?

We saw who they have coming back, and know they'll be better the next couple of years. B)

Besides, they had 9-win seasons in 2015 and 2016, and did I mention that I like cupcakes?:hungry:

And, I didn't say anything about Whitwell until you questioned our schedule. I guess we have to schedule up past Watertown and Trousdale.

Hit up Maynard at Cookeville .

Just to clarify......I haven't and would never say anything negative in regards to the winning tradition that TC has built over the years.  I don't like when I hear people talk about weak regions or scheduling because that's two subjects that no one on this forum has any control over.  Your region is based on where or what county your in relation to the other programs in nearby or surround counties based on enrollment.  I don't agree with tssaa's theory when it comes to playoffs.  Like I said before, there are some regions (Class A R#1) where every program is guaranteed to make the playoffs.   I don't agree with that and I would be more than comfortable with a system where the top two teams make the playoffs rather than the system we have now.  It comes down to $$$ and having 4 teams rather than 2 is more money for the controlling bodies.  As far as the the threads about TC, I'm a life long G'villian who played for the Tigers from 6 yrs old to 18 and if I had a Delorean I wouldn't travel back to 1955.  I would travel back to 1998 just so I could play TC.  I'm pretty sure the outcome would be the same but I am a competitor and there is no better competition than the 1998 TC Team.   Lets stop talking about weak regions and agree that G'ville plays the hand they are dealt, TC made a mistake by scheduling Whitwell and jimmycrackedthatcorn has no idea what he's talking about.

I don't think we made a mistake, of course we scheduled the game thinking we could win that game, but last year and this year it was a good clean hard fought game, you can teach many lessons from a hard fought tough loss and we have had a few this year, I wouldn't call it a mistake.

It is never a mistake to force the starters to play 4 full quarters of physical football. It pays off come play off time. No regrets playing Whitwell.

I wish we would drop gordy from our schedule. I know it is close but i would rather play up .

I saw them last Friday vs Clay County. Gordonsville isn’t a bad team. The good thing for you is you aren’t playing a great SP team either.

Clay Co isn't a good team at all SP should be preparing for a rematch with Whitwell SP will mercy rule Gordonsville

Scheduling Whitwell wasn't a mistake TC wants competition not guaranteed wins like what Gordonsville schedules. TC jas played Whitwell a few times in playoffs and they knew they would be good nothing wrong with playing good teams an only way to get better is to play a tough schedule

RTD, did you see where gordy just scheduled 1-9 Fayetteville?

Then crozadooble tries to act like scheduling the big gordy powerhouse caused the coach to retire.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
