Sarcasm is fun, but the reality awaits Friday night.  If TCA wins, I will support them the rest of the way.  But if Peabody loses, it will be a real let down that will never pass.  I saw the LC, TCA game.  LC dominated from start to finish.  I wanted to see some improvement in that game and I did, but not enough to say you guys would make it past the second round.  You guys are a class act though.  See ya Friday at the Palace.

Hahahahahaha.

I think union city fumbled a bunch that game. Uc has their starting qb back I think that is a plus for them.  If Uc doesn’t fumble I think they win this game

UC fumbled once or maybe twice from what I can remember... We have always played UC well (hence our 56-54 shootout last year). We figured them out early on and our defense played its best game of the year. Fairley is not a typical Memphis team, they have a good coach and good athletes. I saw some of yall talking about them getting blown out during the regular season. They played two 6A teams in Whitehaven and Memphis Central. Whitehaven lost to Lausanne by 3 and Memphis Central's best win is Cordova. Fairley is battle tested, don't overlook this team. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat UC.

What was said is they have only been in blowouts,no doubt they "should" have lost to the 2 6A teams they played, the point made was they have not been in a dogfight !!! Oh Fairley  is the favorite in this game, but there will be 4 quarters of ball to play friday !!! Go Golden Tornadoes !!!

Ok thanks. Yea since hasn't been in a close game, then that could be in UC's advantage.

Point in case GC vs my Tide !!!! That dogfight with yall made us better !!!!

Part of me wants UC to match up with  Peabody (if they beat TCA), but I would like to see how Fairley would play against the tide. It would be interesting to see how Fairley would play against the best team in region 7-2A.

If UC can hang on to the football I like them to win this game. I think Fairley will struggle with UC’s offense. Fairley has the athletic ability without a doubt. Their rb is special. But I don’t think they can stay disciplined enough for four quarters vs the option. Going to be a great game regardless.

Great post, its interesting cause the UC QB gets that commit to him then the toss comes amd the edge is near and before ya know it 25 yards are gained,or they can pound it for 4 amd a cloud of dust all night !!!!! UC is almost impossible to defend when they are clicking !

All of the talk about Fairley self destructing and being undisciplined holds little value. I didn't see a team that was ready to self destruct anytime soon. The lack of discipline thing wasn't there either. The Fairley DB's stayed at home or on their man on our "trick plays", LB's flew around the field and laid hits, DLine was effective throughout as well.

Union City needs some long drawn out drives that will keep Fairley off the field, 15-play type of drives. Kaleb Craig needs another 200-250+ yard game with a lot of carries as well. We moved the ball on their defense, but also turned it over a lot.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
