My bad on the East Hickman reference then.  I could have sworn his Dad was a middle school coach in East Hickman at one time.  I think Nashville Christian may have been in the equation as well, at least for a few minutes.  Obviously I am wrong?

Yes he coached at East Hickman middle several years ago. Prior to his son being old enough to even play for him there I believe. He very well may have been at EHMS at some time or another but I thought you were talking about him playing at EHHS. I personally don't know of anything with NC and it's really not my place to talk about it really. I'm sure they had their reasons and there was nothing illegal about it.

There's always been kids from East and Fairview going back and forth with the schools being just a few miles from each other on each side of their respective county lines. As I'm sure is the case all across the state.

Owned....  Camden gets our share of Transfers as well but more because They cant get time at Henry County or just move here because the folks got Jobs at Dupont or TVA.  As long as they move here and follow TSSAA Regs we enjoy it. 99% of Camden football players   grew up right here.I am sure its no different there . EVERY school has transfers  either from close by or far away..winning brings out the excuses/tissues/accusations

You're correct Beagle. Show me a successful program and I'll show you someone crying foul. Just the nature of the beast I reckon. Good problem to have.

Having seen Fairview this fall and knowing the type of athletes and physicality Stratford plays with I have to say the Spartans win by 2 TDs.

I don't believe Fairview will be able to contain the Stratford running back nor can their line keep Stratford's defense at bay to move the ball.

Stratford 28

Fairview 14

You could very well be right District. I haven't seen much on Stratford but a little film. I'll be shocked if they hold Fairview to 14 though. If they do I think it will be because they kept the ball away from us like they did Pearl.

From the Tennessean

Stratford (4-8) at Fairview (10-2)

When: 7 p.m. Friday
Stratford’s James Moore was unstoppable a week ago, running for a career-high 320 yards and three scores in the Spartans’ second-round upset of top-seeded Pearl-Cohn. Mr. Football finalist Kam-Harris Lusk scored five total touchdowns in Fairview’s 33-22 win over East Nashville. A semifinal trip to Covington likely awaits the winner.
Kreager: Fairview 34, Stratford 26
Murphy: Fairview 31, Stratford 21

Alot of folks are looking at Stratfords regular season record and erroneously judging them based on it. I guarantee Fairview isn't overlooking them.

Both of these teams are 2-0.

Also they got it wrong. Kam only scored 3 TDs last week.

He must still be wet behind the ears to count out Milan in November. Show him what for Big Purp! :thumb:

We are definitely the underdawg here against Covington. But this Milan team is better than their 8-4 record indicates. 3 losses to Covington, Huntingdung and Peabody who went a combined 29-1 in the regular season. Almost beat Peabody’s and played Huntingdung close. Heck the 4th loss was to North Side who was a region champ and is still playing. We have improved ALOT since the first time we played Covington. Should be a fight. Best of luck to you guys.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.

    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
